Ama Dablam Expedition is one of the most beautiful climbs in the Himalayas of Nepal which is at the height of 6812 meters from sea level. It is the third most popular peak climbing in Nepal which is situated in the Everest region. While trekking on this route, we get a mesmerizing view of mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Ama Dablam, and many more which makes the journey more interesting. This peak climbing is demanding and presents challenges, as well as breathtaking views, and all the climbers, need to have good climbing skills to be capable of joining this expedition.
Climbing this expedition is not an easy job it is one of the most technical and challenging climbs. While trekking on this route, we get a chance to explore a beautiful Sherpa village where we get to know about the lifestyle, culture, and tradition of the high Himalayan land. It is popular for its stunning scenery and the social life of the Sherpa people which are the attractions of this region. Exploring Saragmatha Nation Park which is located at a high altitude is also the best experience for this trekking. Climbing and the expedition itself are not easy to do. While doing this peak climbing, you need to walk at least 9 to 10 hours per day which is very much tiring. For climbers, you must be physically and mentally very strong because climbing is not an easy job to do. It has experience in high altitudes will find this trek easy to a moderate level and perfect exercises make your journey a little bit easier. This peak climbing is among the most challenging peak climbing and most of the routes are moderate but some are quite difficult.
Ama Dablam Expedition is the adventurous peak climbing of Nepal which is perfect for adventure and challenge lovers. This beautiful peak climbing is easy for climbers then it will be a little bit challenging for a beginner climber. Some of the difficulties, you have to face during this peak climbing are the length of the trek, high altitude, altitude sickness, weather and climate, and many more. The difficulty level of this peak climbing is a little bit difficult and you must prepare yourself mentally to complete this trek. While trekking or peak climbing in the high Himalayan land, you may face altitude sickness because it is very normal to suffer from altitude sickness in the high Himalayan land.
While trekking in the Everest region, we have to take a flight toward Lukla. The only transportation for starting this peak climbing is taking a flight in the old days. But nowadays, there is a new route, where we have to take a bus to start our journey. Very early in the morning, we will drive toward Manthali, and from Manthali, we will fly toward Lukla. On the way to this peak climbing, you will get a horse as a means of transportation.
Ama Dablam Expedition begins after taking a 30-minute flight toward Lukla from Kathmandu Valley. From Lukla, we will start our first-day walking trek toward Phakding. On this peak climbing, we get a chance to explore a beautiful Sherpa village where you will get a chance to learn about the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of the high Himalayan people. Beautiful villages like Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and many other beautiful villages can be visited on this peak climbing. We also get a chance to see a mesmerizing view of the mountain like Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and many more.
This beautiful peak climbing gives a chance to visit Sagarmatha National Park which is home to many rare birds and animals. On the way to this beautiful pass, you will get a chance to see or explore the biggest and oldest Tengboche monastery in Tengboche. From the top of the Kala Patthar, we will get the best views of the sunrise and sunset.
For this peak climbing, autumn and spring season are the perfect season. The weather and temperature of these two seasons are not so too cold or not so too hot. There will be a mesmerizing view of the mountain with green natural scenery in the autumn season. In the spring season, while trekking on this route, we will pass through a dense forest of rhododendrons full of red, pink, and white colors. These two seasons have a moderate climate and clear skies where there is less chance of rainfall and snowfall which makes things easier on this trek. Winter and monsoon are not so good for this peak climbing because, in these two seasons, the scenery will not be that clear because there will be fog and rain everywhere.
After landing at the international airport of Nepal, you will see our staff pick you up from the airport. From the airport, you will drop by the hotel in Thamel where you will spend the overnight here.
The guide will be in the hotel where you spend overnight to take you towards the domestic airport at Kathmandu valley. After 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Lukla which is the gateway of every trekking destination of the Everest region. From Lukla, our first-day walking trek starts towards Phakding.
This is the second day of trekking for the Ama Dablam Expedition where we will walk from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the biggest Sherpa land in Nepal where you will get an opportunity to know about Sherpa culture and tradition. The distance from Phakding to Namche is 7.4 kilometers which takes 5 to 6 hours. And in this time duration, you will cross Hillary suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi and finally reach Namche Bazaar.
It is the first rest day of the Ama Dablam Expedition at Namche Bazaar. From here, you will get mesmerizing views of the mountain like Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and many other mountains in this region. At Namche Bazaar, we get a chance to explore the Sherpa Museum where you will see the tradition and culture of the Sherpa people.
Alongside the Dudh Koshi while offering breathtaking alpine views on this trek. On this day of trekking, we will walk toward Tengboche from Namche Bazaar. At Tengboche, we get a chance to visit Tengboche monastery which is one of the biggest monasteries in the Everest region. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Tengboche from Namche Bazaar.
The trail from Tengboche to Pangboche leads you to the small village through a dense forest of rhododendron and birch. On this trek, we get a chance to visit the beautiful Sherpa village Dingboche. We will cross the Imja River with mesmerizing views of the snow-capped mountain along with stone houses and farms with yaks.
Trekking on this route will reach us a little closer to our destination. Beautiful Ama Dablam is situated at a height of 4800 meters from sea level. The trails descend through a dense forest of rhododendron and cross the Dudh Koshi River. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Ama Dablam Base Camp from Pangboche and going to spend overnight.
Today, we will take a whole day’s rest in Ama Dablam Base Camp. From here, we get a chance to see a sunrise and sunset from Ama Dablam Mountain. On this day, we will learn how to use climbing gear and make ourselves physically and mentally fit.
On these 13 days of trekking, we will climb mount Ama Dablam which is technically more challenging than other peak climbing of the Everest region. The trail leads to a gully until we get to the west side of the ridge and within 13 days we will summit Ama Dablam. On these, we have to be very careful about our health because on these we will trek the high altitude and there is a high chance of getting altitude sickness. And if we suffer from altitude sickness, we have to come at a low altitude and can’t summit this beautiful Mountain.
The trail leads down to a river and suspension bridges. This will ease your path of uneven, steep rocky descending and continuing with those paths for about 5 to 6 hours and finally reach Namche Bazaar. In Namche Bazaar, there is still tons of stuff to do. And on the way, you will get a chance to the lush green forest of rhododendron and pine.
While trekking on this day, we enter the Sagarmatha National Park home to many rare birds and animals. We gently descend through the Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi and then our treks slowly descend the beautiful village of Monjo. On this trek, we will pass through many suspension bridges, natural scenery, and pass through many Rhododendrons and pine forests.
Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will walk towards the domestic airport of Lukla and get ready to fly towards Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, get to explore Kathmandu valley. This day will the last day in Nepal and at Night time we will walk around Thamel which is very much beautiful at night.
Today is the last day in Nepal. The guide will be in the hotel where you spend the overnight and the guide will take you to the international airport to see you off and hope you will give an opportunity to serve you again.
