Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC difficulty

Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC is one of the most beautiful climbs in the Himalayas of Nepal which is at the height of 6812 meters from sea level. Some of the difficulties, you have to face during this peak climbing are the length of the trek, high altitude, altitude sickness, weather and climate, and many more. The difficulty level of this peak climbing is a little bit difficult and you must prepare yourself mentally to complete this trek. This trekking is a moderate to difficult trek and the route is gentle with some steep portions and downhill descents and you walk on an unpaved gravel path. Before embarking on the trekking, you must collect information about the trekking destination and also have to know about the difficulty.

Best time for Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC

Autumn and spring season are the perfect seasons for the Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC. In these seasons, the weather and temperature are not too cold or too hot. Autumn season, the weather in this region is relatively stable with less precipitation and weather-related challenges. There will be a mesmerizing view of the mountain with green natural scenery in the autumn season. In the spring season, while trekking on this route, we will pass through a dense forest of rhododendrons full of red, pink, and white colors. These two seasons have a moderate climate and clear skies where there is less chance of rainfall and snowfall which makes things easier on this trek.

We can also trek during the monsoon season but while climbing at the high peak, you can’t trek in the winter season. It is because, in the winter season, there will be snow everywhere in the high Himalayan land. In the monsoon season, all the way will become slippery and muddy and the scenery is not so clear but also can trek on this route.

Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC route

Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC begins from Lukla after taking a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu Valley. This beautiful trek is the combination of two popular destinations of the Everest region which are the Everest Base Camp trek and the Ama Dablam Expedition. On this trek, we get a chance to explore beautiful Sherpa villages like Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Phakding, Tengboche, Dingboche, and other beautiful villages on this route. Not only a beautiful village but also get a chance to see mesmerizing views of the mountain with natural scenery. We also get a chance to explore the Sagarmatha National Park which is home to rare birds and animals.    

Transportation for Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC

While trekking on this route, we will take a flight toward Lukla. The airway is the only mode of transportation for trekking on this route. Sometimes we have to take a flight from Manthali, and take a flight; we will drive to Manthali very early in the morning. On the route of this trek, there will be a horse as the mode of transportation because, on the high Himalayan, horses will be a mode of transportation.

Details Itinerary

• Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu

  After landing at the international airport of Nepal, you will see our staff pick you up from the airport. From the airport, you will drop by the hotel in Thamel where you will spend the overnight here.

• Day 02: Scenic flight toward Lukla and walk to Phakding

  The guide will be in the hotel where you spend overnight to take you towards the domestic airport at Kathmandu valley. After 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Lukla which is the gateway of every trekking destination of the Everest region. From Lukla, our first-day walking trek starts towards Phakding.

• Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

  This is the second day of trekking for the Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC where we will walk from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the biggest Sherpa land in Nepal where you will get an opportunity to know about Sherpa culture and tradition. The distance from Phakding to Namche is 7.4 kilometers which take 5 to 6 hours. And in this time duration, you will cross Hillary suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi and finally reach Namche Bazaar.

• Day 04: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

  It is the first rest day of the Ama Dablam Expedition with EBC at Namche Bazaar. From here, you will get mesmerizing views of the mountain like Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and many other mountains in this region. At Namche Bazaar, we get a chance to explore the Sherpa Museum where you will see the tradition and culture of the Sherpa people.

• Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Pangboche

  The trail from Namche Bazaar to Pangboche leads you to the small village through a dense forest of rhododendron and birch. On this trek, we get a chance to visit the beautiful Sherpa village of Tengboche and Dingboche. We will cross the Imja River with mesmerizing views of the snow-capped mountain along with stone houses and farms with yaks. It takes almost 7 hours to reach Pangboche from Namche Bazaar.

• Day 06: Acclimatization day in Pangboche

  Today we don’t start our trekking because today is for the rest and explore around the Pheriche. From here we can see the beautiful scenery of the nature and wonderful views of the mountains and spend overnight in this place.

• Day 07: Hike up Ama Dablam Base Camp

  Trekking on this route will reach us a little closer to our destination. Beautiful Ama Dablam is situated at a height of 4800 meters from sea level. The trails descend through a dense forest of rhododendron and cross the Dudh Koshi River. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Ama Dablam Base Camp from Pangboche and going to spend overnight.

• Day 08: Acclimatization and Pre-climb training at Ama Dablam Base Camp

  Today we don’t start our trekking because today we will explore all around the Ama Dablam Base Camp and have some Pre climb training for climbing Ama Dablam Base Camp and spend one night in this base camp.

• Day 08-22: Ascending and Descending of Ama Dablam

  Today we will climb Ama Damblam which lies at the height of 6856 meter from the sea level. After summiting the peak climbing we will come back to this base camp back and spend one another night in this base camp.

• Day 22: Trek to Namche

  The trail adds a new perspective to the EBC trek and you can enjoy a relaxed walk as the trail again ascends towards Sanasa and Kyanjuma village. On the way, you will get a chance to the lush green forest of rhododendron and pine.

• Day 23: Trek to Lukla

  While trekking on this day, we enter the Sagarmatha National Park home to many rare birds and animals. We gently descend through the Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi and then our treks slowly descend the beautiful village of Monjo. On this trek, we will pass through many suspension bridges, natural scenery, and pass through many Rhododendrons and pine forests.

• Day 24: Fly back to Kathmandu

  Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will walk towards the domestic airport of Lukla and get ready to fly towards Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, get to explore Kathmandu valley. This day will the last day in Nepal and at Night time we will walk around Thamel which is very much beautiful at night.

• Day 25: Final departure

  Today is the last day in Nepal. The guide will be in the hotel where you spend the overnight and the guide will take you to the international airport to see you off and hope you will give an opportunity to serve you again.
