Day-by-Day Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you will have some time to rest after your international flight. In the evening, we organize an expedition briefing where you will meet your climbing guide and expedition team. The guide will explain the climbing route, safety procedures, and equipment required for the Lobuche Peak expedition.

Today we explore some of the cultural highlights of Kathmandu Valley. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These places showcase Nepal’s rich culture and history. Meanwhile, our team will complete the necessary climbing permits and expedition paperwork. In the evening, we check all climbing equipment and make final preparations for the trek.
Early in the morning we take a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The short flight offers incredible aerial views of the Himalayan range. After landing at Lukla Airport, we meet our porters and begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi River. The trail passes through beautiful villages, prayer wheels, and mani stones before reaching Phakding village where we spend the night.
Today we follow the Dudh Koshi River valley and cross several suspension bridges. After entering Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, the trail climbs steadily through pine forests. A challenging uphill hike finally brings us to Namche Bazaar, the main trading center of the Khumbu region. From here we get our first views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks.
Acclimatization is important to prevent altitude sickness. Today we take a short hike to Everest View Hotel, one of the highest hotels in the world. From here we enjoy spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Later you can visit the Sherpa Culture Museum or explore the lively markets of Namche Bazaar.
Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail follows a scenic ridge offering magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We descend to the Dudh Koshi River and cross a suspension bridge before climbing through rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche village. Here we visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Everest region.
Today the trail gradually climbs through alpine terrain. We pass through Pangboche village, one of the oldest Sherpa settlements in the region. As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes more rugged with spectacular mountain views. After several hours of trekking, we arrive at Dingboche, a beautiful village surrounded by stone walls and towering peaks.
To help our bodies adjust to the altitude, we spend another acclimatization day in Dingboche. A short hike to Nagarjun Hill offers stunning views of Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Island Peak. After returning to the lodge, the rest of the day is spent resting and preparing for the climb ahead.
The trail gradually climbs through alpine terrain toward the Khumbu Glacier. Along the way we pass the memorial sites dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The views of Nuptse, Pumori, and Lobuche Peak are spectacular. After reaching Lobuche village, we rest and prepare for the next stage of the expedition.
Today we leave the main trekking route and head toward Lobuche Peak Base Camp and then continue to High Camp. The route crosses rocky moraines and glacial terrain. After reaching High Camp, our climbing guide provides training on mountaineering techniques such as using crampons, ropes, and ice axes.
We begin the summit attempt early in the morning before sunrise. The climb involves steep snow slopes and sections with fixed ropes. After reaching the summit of Lobuche Peak, we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Pumori. After celebrating the successful climb, we descend carefully and continue trekking down to Pheriche village.
Today we descend through Pangboche and Tengboche villages. The trail passes through beautiful forests and offers incredible mountain scenery as we return to Namche Bazaar.
