Our CSR Commitment
Responsible trekking means more than protecting the environment — it means ensuring the communities and people who make your adventure possible benefit fairly from it.
Local Employment
We prioritise hiring from the communities our treks pass through. Every guide, porter, cook, and teahouse staff member we work with is local. This keeps tourism revenue in the mountains rather than flowing back to urban agencies or international operators.
- 100% of guides are Nepali nationals
- We partner with teahouses operated by mountain families
- Support staff are sourced from the villages along each route
Environmental Practices
The Himalayas are fragile. We actively reduce our trekking groups' environmental impact and contribute to trail maintenance and clean-up efforts.
- Strict no-plastic policy on all treks
- Annual trail clean-up participation on major routes
- Low-impact camping practices on all wilderness routes
Community Support
A portion of every booking goes directly into community projects in the Himalayan region — from school supplies in Sagarmatha to clean-water installations in remote Mustang villages.
- Annual donation to local school infrastructure projects
- Support for Sherpa cultural preservation initiatives
- Contribution to the Himalayan Trust Nepal
Fair Wages & Porter Welfare
We subscribe to the standards set by the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG). Every porter on our treks receives fair pay, appropriate cold-weather gear, and medical coverage.
- Porter wages 20% above the local industry standard
- Full cold-weather gear provided — not shared
- Compulsory porter accident insurance on every trip
“The mountains give us everything. Our job is to make sure they're still here for the next generation.”
